November was a busy month, but at the same time, it seemed to fly by! We experienced roseola (a high fever followed by a rash, which we discovered on the plane), but we got to visit our family in Hawaii, as well.
It rained the entire time we were in Hawaii. It was worse in Palolo than it was in town, but we were able to find some sun at the beach. Clearly, the rain was not a concern of Audrey's.
Unfortunately, rain meant we were cooped up a lot of the time, but Audrey played with her new dishes from Grandma, which she loved! I got to read (and almost finish) the Hunger Games trilogy. We mostly just lazed around the house and enjoyed not being home. It was truly a vacation!
Audrey made friends with Mikey, the friendly, partially feral cat who used to live in Kaimuki but now tortures the other cats in Palolo. He was starved for attention, and tolerated a little tail-pulling. It was cute to hear "MIKE!" every time he was in view or we pulled into the driveway.
The highlight of our Hawaii vacations is always the beach. California beaches just don't compare. My little beach bunny would agree.

We also got to see lots of family at Uncle Brud's and Auntie Pat's house in Hawaii Kai. Audrey got a ride in a box, courtesy of Auntie Paige.
Our least favorite part of our Hawaii trips is the wait at the airport before leaving. It always makes me sad and a little teary-eyed, and clearly, it rubs off on Audrey. Until Christmas!
