Monterey Bay Aquarium

I swear, we took a thousand pictures of the back and top of Audrey's head at the Aquarium.  There were so many rooms, so many people, and so much to see!  We discovered Audrey isn't too interested in fish, though.  Oh well.  We spent 2 days there, so she definitely got her fill of fish.

She did like the glass wall that you stand under when the waves come.  You can see what it's like for the sea creatures that live near where the waves crash.  She was amazed at the water not getting her wet.

This one was from Day 2.

We of course had to watch the birds for awhile (my favorite part).  I thought it would excite Audrey, but it was a little anticlimactic.  She just kind of looked at them, like, "Yeah, a bird.  Big deal."  If you know Audrey, you know birds are ALWAYS a big deal, which is why I was a little surprised.

One of the workers had a penguin that Audrey loved!  Unfortunately, we couldn't take the hand in the puppet home, so she had to settle for a book as her souvenir.

Audrey is a very loving, affectionate little girl when she wants to be.  She loves giving hugs and kisses, and says "ah bah" when she gives a kiss.  When she's in trouble, she instantly gives you a kiss.  I'll take a hug and a kiss from this kid any day.

We enjoyed lunch at a little restaurant near the aquarium, and then we enjoyed the view of Monterey Bay.
